My Portfolio

BC Strawberries Ad

The strawberries assignment marked my first foray into sound design, and it was an eye-opening experience that I’ll keep in my portfolio to track my progress throughout my studies. This project challenged me to creatively capture the sounds associated with strawberries—from the crunch of biting into a fresh berry to the gentle rustle of leaves. I learned the importance of sound layering and editing to create an immersive audio experience. Reflecting on this assignment, I appreciate how it laid the groundwork for my understanding of sound design and my growth as a student in this field over the coming semesters.

Photoshop practice

In Class Photoshop Practice

This was my chance to practice using Photoshop while creating a piece I called “Beautiful Image.” During class, I focused on refreshing my skills and exploring the software’s capabilities. It was great to experiment with various tools, such as layers, filters, and color adjustments, allowing me to create a visually striking piece.

Working on “Beautiful Image” helped me refresh on how different techniques can enhance an image. This experience not only reinforced my technical skills but also fueled my passion of weirdness. I plan to keep this piece in my portfolio to track my progress as I continue to develop my abilities in the coming semesters.

MEdium Blog

My First Medium Blog

Creating my first blog post on Medium was an exciting and rewarding experience. This assignment challenged me to articulate my thoughts and share my perspective in a clear and engaging manner. I focused on a topic that resonates with me, which allowed me to express my passion and connect with potential readers.

Throughout the writing process, I learned the importance of structure and flow in blog writing. Crafting engaging headings, breaking up text with paragraphs, and incorporating multimedia elements helped me enhance the overall readability of my post. This experience taught me how to effectively communicate ideas in the digital space.

I’m proud of this first post and plan to keep it in my portfolio as a benchmark for my writing journey. As I continue to develop my skills in the coming semesters, I look forward to exploring new topics and refining my voice as a writer.

Flickr Assignmnet

A Collection of Photos

This assignment for my online design class involved taking photos around campus, which was an enriching experience. I learned to use Flickr for uploading and sharing my images, which introduced me to the importance of organizing and tagging photos effectively. Thoughtful tagging enhanced the visibility of my work, helping me connect with a broader audience. As I explored the campus with my camera, I discovered beauty in everyday scenes, from architectural details to candid moments of fellow students. This project not only improved my technical skills but also deepened my appreciation for the environment around me.

An Old Video of Mine

Several years ago, I created a YouTube video that served as a guide for a glitch in a video game. Looking back, this project shows just how long I’ve had a passion for content creation and creative media. At the time, I was driven by a curiosity to explore and share unique insights about my favourite games. I researched the glitch thoroughly, recorded footage, and edited it into a clear and engaging tutorial that helped viewers understand how to replicate the effect.

This early video may have been simple, but it taught me the basics of video production and the importance of clear communication. It’s rewarding to know that even back then, I was drawn to making content that could connect with an audience and offer value. I consider this video a foundational piece in my portfolio, as it represents my long-standing dedication to creative media—a passion I continue to build on today.
